Features

Gorgeous detached Victorian condominium, full of charm and detail and stunning in its light-filled open spaces, dramatic high ceilings and huge windows.

Up the inviting private stairs to the front door, one steps into the entry and to the right is a expansive living room with soaring ceilings, rustic hardwood flooring, and almost floor-to-ceiling windows facing leafy green trees. The room centers around a lovely wood burning fireplace with a black tile surround, with beautiful details throughout.

The living room flows seamlessly into the sunlit formal dining room, which has a bay of south-west facing windows. Accessible from both the hallway and dining room is the kitchen, welcoming you with warm gray cabinetry, an attractive tile backsplash, and a suite of stylish GE Profile stainless appliances, including a dishwasher and a four-burner gas range with griddle. There is room for a table to eat-in, and the space is illuminated with south-facing light. Also, on this floor is a chic powder room with black and white floor tile and a sundial window, and under-stair storage.

Ascending the staircase, bound by an intricate banister, one reaches the second floor of the home. Flooded with light by a large skylight overhead, the gracious landing leads to all three bedrooms as well as the bathroom. The master bedroom is very large, accommodating a bedroom set as well as a separate seating area. Framed by gorgeous windows overlooking the treetops, the master has two closets: a smaller closet by the entry as well as a larger closet at the end of the room with built-in inserts.

The bathroom is located off the landing, stylishly outfitted with gray and white marble on the floor and shower surround, a Jacuzzi tub for long soaks, and a separate shower.  To your immediate left off the landing is a wonderful second bedroom with south-facing windows and two matching closets. The third bedroom has a pleasing south-west exposure, a double closet, and a perfect window nook for a desk, overlooking the common courtyard. Adjacent to the bathroom is a large closet with washer-dryer hookups. It appears that an additional bathroom could be installed in the master bedroom.

This charming home offers endless potential to make it your own, with wonderful light and airy open spaces, all surrounded by trees on a quiet street. Centrally located to transportation, you are steps to the Raymond Kimball playground and just blocks from the vibrant lower Fillmore corridor, with its shops, nightlife and restaurants, as well as similar offerings on Geary and Divisadero.

Neighborhood

Anza Vista

Anza Vista sits atop a hill near the University of San Francisco. It is primarily a residential neighborhood that offers some lovely views. Typical architecture dates from the ‘30s and ‘40s with a Spanish-Mediterranean flair along with some slightly newer Art Deco homes. Most have yards and ample parking. The nearby Jewish Community Center is located at California and Presidio and offers art, dance and gym classes. Laurel Village is handy for shopping and offers some dining opportunities as well. Alamo Square is right next door, home to some historical buildings, such as the Imperial Russian Consulate and the fabulous “Painted Ladies,” six beautifully restored Victorian homes that survived the 1906 earthquake and fire.
